Timelineसमय-रेखा
This timeline is deliberately uneven. The eras for which no record has been found appear here as gaps rather than as filler. An empty stretch is information too, and in this archive it is the most useful kind.

Annexation, district formation, the 1903 gazetteer horizon
1889
Ram Naresh Tripathi is born, 4 March
Hindi literary sources give the birthplace as “village Koiripur, Sultanpur district”. One widely-shared English account places it in Jaunpur; both readings are recorded here.
1900–1947
The railway, Tripathi's life, the national movement
1917–33
Kavita Kaumudi is published in six parts
The first Hindi anthology to collect village songs. Tripathi gathered the material by travelling through villages — the work that makes Koiripur's claim on literary history its strongest.
1947–1970
Independence, land reform, schools
1958
A poem is datelined “Koiripur (Sultanpur)”
Dated 8 April, this dateline is evidence that he was still writing from the town late in life — the most direct evidence of his continuing connection to Koiripur.
1962
Ram Naresh Tripathi dies, 16 January
He left behind close to a hundred books, written or edited. The auditorium in Sultanpur carries his name; no memorial to him in Koiripur itself has yet been documented.
1970–2000
The Nagar Panchayat era, electrification, roads

The Amethi bifurcation (2010), highway upgrades
2010
Amethi district is carved out of Sultanpur
The district Koiripur belongs to was reshaped. It bears on administrative references, and matters whenever sources from before and after 2010 are compared.
2011
About 8,900 recorded in the tehsil's single urban unit
Census 2011 shows exactly one town in Lambhua tehsil — 8,927 people in 1,294 households. That town is Koiripur, but a competing figure circulates in the sources; see Conflict 01.

Still undated: the railway halt, the Nagar Panchayat, the market, 1857
When the railway halt opened, when the Nagar Panchayat was constituted, when the market was established, and what happened here in 1857 — none of these is dated by any source we have found. They are the archive's first research priorities.
